Bakehouse by Cookis GmbH is a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that is centrally hosted and provided to users over the internet. Instead of installing Bakehouse on individual desktops or servers, our customers use the service on a subscription basis and access it via their web browser.

The source code of Bakehouse constitutes the intellectual property of Cookis GmbH. Its development has required significant investments in time, money and expertise. To protect these investments and maintain control over Bakehouse’s functionality, the source code is typically exported and shared with third parties. The security and integrity of Bakehouse are also ensured by not sharing the source code. Exporting or modifying the source code could pose security risks, as potential vulnerabilities might be introduced or exploited. Furthermore, modifications to the source code could cause Bakehouse to malfunction with the centrally hosted version or with other services and APIs it relies on.

It is also important to note that Bakehouse is a complex system that requires specialised infrastructure and expertise to operate effectively. Even if the source code were available to a third party, it could be challenging to run and maintain the system efficiently. Finally, Cookis GmbH generates the value of Bakehouse through continuous updates and improvements that they implement themselves. Even if a third party had the source code, they would not receive these continuous updates or the associated customer support.

The invoice is issued annually in advance. This means the total amount for the coming year is invoiced at the start of the contract year. Invoicing is handled digitally via email. Once the invoice is generated, we will send you an electronic invoice to the email address you provided during registration. Please ensure this email address is correct and that our emails do not end up in your spam or junk mail folder.

You can terminate the use of Bakehouse or our software at any time before the end of the respective billing period. However, we cannot offer cancellations or refunds for unused periods. The reason for this is that we have already paid in advance for licences and servers. Therefore, we cannot refund any amounts already invested.

Regular support is available Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00, and on Fridays from 9:00 to 12:00, both by telephone and email. Our service team is available at support@bakehouse.at or +43 5412 21346.

You can reach us at any time via our website bakehouse.info. We are also available in emergencies to help you, although our response time outside business hours may be slightly reduced. Our Bakehouse emergency support handles urgent issues such as a complete failure of your website or any essential component. Please note that we do not make any changes to the content of your website as part of the emergency support.

We aim for an availability of 99.45 percent. Customer satisfaction and uninterrupted use of our services are our top priorities. To achieve this goal, all our servers are monitored around the clock. In addition, they are part of a state-of-the-art server cluster that ensures redundant deployment. This means that in the event of a hardware failure or any other disruption, a quick switch to alternative servers is made to ensure the continuity and availability of our services. Our expert teams work diligently to ensure that our servers and services always function optimally and downtime is kept to a minimum.

In such cases, temporary interruptions may occur. However, our backups are stored in three different locations. Our server team will do everything possible to restore normal operations as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding and patience in such situations.

We create daily backups of our projects, which are stored in three different locations.  In addition, the backups are stored securely encrypted. In an emergency, we can quickly restore projects from the backups.

A: We guarantee the retention of backups for at least the last seven days. In addition, we usually have another backup that goes back much further. However, the exact duration of this additional backup is not guaranteed and depends on the individual case.

We place great emphasis on usability. Bakehouse is intuitive and easy to use. Unlike WordPress, which often relies on the installation of numerous plug-ins – plug-ins created by a variety of developers with differing quality standards. This makes updates frequently complicated. With Bakehouse, however, all plug-ins originate from us. That is why we can guarantee you security updates at a high level.

Additionally, we are always available to provide you with personal customer service and technical support. Should you require assistance or encounter any issues, we are here for you. In summary? Bakehouse is the all-in-one package and the simpler and more secure software than WordPress.

The servers are protected, among other things, by up-to-date software and a firewall. The cluster setup allows load spikes to be distributed across powerful hardware. Continuous monitoring of the servers enables any anomalies to be detected and resolved.
No unauthorised code may run on our servers. This provides additional protection for Bakehouse projects.
Both Cookis and Mynet test the server and the websites hosted there at least once a year using tools to identify known vulnerabilities.
